towing
Iwould recomend the flatbed trailer and a pickup. Also with no floorboards you have no structural support so load it gently so you dont bend it and once it is on the trailer block under the car to prevent flex. Iwould also run some chains taught from front end to rear end also tho prevent...- towdriverb

get a quad and tow it to the trails with the ex and try to get them to go with you and with time you may get to ues the ex (tow the quad in a little deeper each time)- towdriverb

Pissed about brakes.....let me rant
get a set of cheep rotors from autozone with a set of soft pads mine only cost $87 from autozone for all the parts. Use soft pads to prevent squeel- towdriverb

1996 Explorer - CD magazine stuck
mine is aftermarket but it does have a hole in the back if you stick a small screwdriver in the hole you can move a tab which will c ause it to eject- towdriverb

how to turn off "check engine" light?
after 4 staers and srop it will reset if the problem went away 2nd choice bull batt cable for a couple minutes 3 rd choice IT IS A FORD they all come on sooner or later when i installed the indeglo guages i pulled the bulb- towdriverb

STRIPPED LUGNUT!!!
go to a good tool supplier and they will have a special socket that goes over the lug nut and as you turn it it cuts into the nut and off they come I carried a set on my towtruck for those stripped nuts they originally were designed to remove wheel locks but they work in this app also- towdriverb

Advice - Keep black or paint titanium metallic?
do you have a digital camera if so take a picture and use a graphics pragram and do the colors you are thinking of then you can compare them side by side to see what you like better hope it helps- towdriverb

Grrrr... Alarm Wiring
check the parking light wire coming out of the alaem and check that you get power from it when you activate it if it is working you can try going out under the hood to the back of one of the parking lights and hook it up there instead alot easier because a lot less wires to deal with. i...- towdriverb

indeglo white faced gauges
Just installed a guage set from unitedindiglo@hotmail.com in my wifes 96 explorer xl . was having trouble finding one for under 30 bucks. not listed as explorer was on e bay as ranger but fits and works fine. Will have to enlarge needle holes a little but not dificult- towdriverb

IT SHOULD ONLY RUN YOU ABOUT ANOTHER 100 DOLLARS FOR THE PART MIGHT AS WELL DO IT WHILE THE TRANNYS OUT BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE IT AGAIN TO CHANGE IT LATTER ESPECIALLY IF YOU SEE ANY SIGN OF LEAKING OR SEEPAGE R&R TTRANSMISSION ABOUT 300 PLUS COST OF CLUTCH- towdriverb

How to remove windshield decal??
USE A HEAT GUN OR A HAIR DRYER TO HEAT UP THE DECAL THEN SCRAPE IT WITH A FRESH SHARP RAZOR BLADE AND IF ANY RESIDUE REMAINS YOU CAN TRY A PRODUCT CALLED GOO GONE- towdriverb

usefull tricks leave lugs a little loose and try to move vehicle back and foth a couple times most of the time this will break it loose other way would be to hit rim with 4x4 block of wood it wont dent or scratch alloy rims life a hammer will- towdriverb
