Vibration noise on highway at idle

My 98 XLT has developed a strange vibration when driving on the highway. It happens around 50-60 mph and above. When I’m on the gas, no vibration or noise at all. As soon as I let off the accelerator a bit and idle at freeway speed, I get this rather loud vibration that I believe is coming...

Opera House... I believe you man...But why are those people burning switches up? The other reason I wanna use a relay is so I don't extend the wiring in the circuit. I'll mount the relay under the seat which doesn't add any distance to the original wiring. The only addtional wiring I'll...

I understand where I need to run the relay and switch to. My question what pins on the relay go to what? The standard bosch relay has pins labled 87, 87a, 30..etc. I'm just wondering where the brown wires attach to. once I cut the brown in half, I'll have 2 wires. Which pins do I connect...

    Battery Terminals?

Thanks for the input... Blee...Did you just use a standard dist block that would be used for amps inside the truck or is there somthing special for under the hood? Al and Alec...The ones I looked at on crutchfield and circuit city look like I have to cut the factory terminal off the...

Trailer wiring harness on 97 Sport?

From what we've just found out, It appears that prior to 98, the license plate lights were plugged into this socket so yes, you'll need a "T" adapter for your trailer harness since you drive a 97.

Trailer wiring harness on 97 Sport?

I have liscense plate lights but they aren't pluged into the trailer plug. I looked on that site again and sure enough, they have a plug for 96 and 97 explorers that is a "T". Makes sense now because on yours, your plate is on the bumper...my plate is on the tailgate and I guess the lights...

Trailer wiring harness on 97 Sport?

On my 98, I have the round plug you are talking about behind the drivers side rear light. You can see it from underneath by the bumper. Mine had a cover on it which I removed and I bought a connector from drawtite that plugs right into this. I use it all the time for my 4 wire trailer...

    My Completed Install w/ pics

Cartman, the install wasn't too hard. I'm really happy with the 2100's. The light they give compared to the stock lights doesn't even compare. as far as mounting..there was a little custom work involved. once you remove the stock lights off the brackets, you will notice a hole in the...

    My Completed Install w/ pics

Those are the 2100X Fog lights. I opted for them over the driving lights cause my PIAA 520's on the brush guard are driving lights..so, I wanted to keep a set of fogs somewhere. I'm assuming the 2 will light up with the same type of color...a super white beam that has a bluish tint to it...

My lighting Fog light question part 2

Ok, this is making some sense now but if I'm still using the factory relay to power the new relay, then what I'm I gaining if I'm still pulling from the stock? I think I can kinda answer this myself though. The only thing I'm really using from the stock relay is the turn on hot lead...

hey Bill, thanks so much for yuor help but I'm a little slow sometimes..lol anyway, to show my point...In Taxxmans post regarding the factory relay, it states that the switch inside the truck actually is controlling the ground on the relay. When the switch is in the on position, the relay is...
