Airflow buildup noise...
The sound does change as you fluctuate speed. it seems like if you maintain speed you can get it to stop. I haven't really heard the build up noise this weekend. It might be something loose and rattling. There is a dull shaking sound which I thought was coming from the rear but after...- Jon97

Airflow buildup noise...
V6 SOHC... As you accelerate up to 45 and 50 mph the sound builds up like a turbo. As the pressure builds up the sound "climbs" and gets higher pitched like its going to blow up. on a scale of 1-10 the volume of the noise is 2.5. its heard best from the drivers seat with the windows up.- Jon97

Airflow buildup noise...
Hey all, I tried to search for this and didn't do so well. My 97X is making an "airflow buildup" noise with some "flapping" noise on acceleration. It happens in all gears with O/D on and off. I recently removed 2 shield plates from underneath because they rotted out and sounded horrible...- Jon97

275/45-20 or 285/55-20?
the only problem i see with the 265/50's is it sends the price up about $200, compared to the 275/45's.- Jon97

275/45-20 or 285/55-20?

I have to stop looking online and get my A$$ to a shop and really see these things. There are people around here with them but i dont know any of them...- Jon97

275/45-20 or 285/55-20?
which tire size fits better on an x? 275/45-20 or 285/55-20? the rim would be 20x8.5. would the 285 be too wide? i was hoping that with the thicker sidewall it would ride better and wouldn't look like it needs to be lowered. what do you guys think? jon- Jon97

rims n robberies
ya know, when i bought it. It came with a cut off/kill switch. Its always on and you can't start the car if you don't toggle the switch. or at least i think you can't. Is that any good? or is there a way around that?- Jon97

rims n robberies
I live in an area known for getting cars/rims stolen. I really want to get 20's. But im worried I won't be able to sleep because i'd be up all night with a bat watching my truck. Do you think i'd sleep better with 18's? and what size tires should i get with 18's? I don't want to lower it. I want...- Jon97

4.0 power loss?
Have you changed your oil lately? I have 4.0 and it was sluggish and hesitant like you described. Then I changed the oil and it got better. Not totally but it seems to run smoother than before and with more consistency.- Jon97

20 inch nightmare....
I'm having problems getting a set of 20's for my 97. noone will give me a quote because they say they don't have a confirmed fitment for my vehicle. I even used the ranger suggestion. I want to put Mondera Cristals on it. Does it need to be lifted? or are they too wide?- Jon97
