I talked with Dino at K&N a couple weeks ago. They don't yet have an 02 test mule. Mine is an 02, but doesn't have their required minimum of 6000 miles on it yet. (Although we have put 5300 miles on it in a 6 1/2 week period!) I will have 6 g's on it by the end of August, so I'll keep ya posted!

Uhhh, actually I LIVE in the 909...but the races are in "the 626" (Irwindale) :D So far we got 9 Rangers, 8 F150's, three Explorers, two Expeditions and one Excursion...five of these trucks are cover and feature trucks, but none so far from ExplorerForum but me!

Just an FYI, the deadline for registration to the Races Run has been extended to August 3rd! Come on out and show pride in your ride! I know Chris, Jeff and Ray's Explorers are definitely nice enuff to come! Anyone else? Give ExplorerForum some EXposure!

That's why I posted that the Ranger version of the 4.0 SOHC isn't the same as the 2002 Explorer. If you look at pics of the setup tey offer you'll probably see that the intake pipe attaches to the intake at the front of the engine, not towards the firewall as it is on our 2002 Ex's. The SOHC's...

K&N doesn't make a FIPK yet for the 4.0 sohc's in the 2002 Explorers (The 4.0 sohc Ranger kit is different!). I have been in contact with Dino at K&N, and he is going to use my XLS as one of their test mules in the next few months. Until then, your only options are Mac and SSD as far as I know...
