When uk cars are converted to LPG the petrol running of the car is not affected & we can switch from LPG to petrol at the flick of a switch while driving , so if i cant find a LPG station i have 300 miles worth of petrol. Is this the same system you get fitted ?- MICHAEL PARKER

Gearbox noise
Great , Ill give it a go I heard that its a good idea to empty the torque convertor by draining the pan first then start the engine and watch for the fluid , but being carefull not to run it dry. good idea or not ?- MICHAEL PARKER

My X has 76,000 miles, bought it with 40,000 miles Always had a whine in first & second gear, not loud but there. I have a stock 97 4.0ltr auto sohc with standard exhaust system fitted.I want more noise ,not too loud ,just 4.0 ltr grunt I was thinking of cutting out the end box (the one that goes over the rear axle) and putting in a straight throug pipe Has anybody else done this ,and does it sound good .- MICHAEL PARKER

Your problems could be the recall seals but you say its had them replaced,how long ago. Propane is more expensive than LPG & has different connectors on the bottles or filling stations pumps, But appart from that yes. I dont mind the spare on the tailgate ,and I dont use the cargo area much , there is nowhere else. Youve got to watch your head when you hitch the caravan up ,thats the only downside. Howard, get it converted ,you will never look back. I could get 20 mpg on petrol but it was boring watching the fuel gauge only going one way , coasting down hills to save another 1/2 ltr. Those days are gone for ever With the aircon on i get 17mpg on gas thats based on my daily drive to work...- MICHAEL PARKER

My hissing noise was not that loud . I would spray some leak detector on your pipework. has it always done this , if not, did you notice anything else happen when it started hissing , eg : poor starting , poor brakes or over heating. LPG is Liquid Petroleum Gas ,Its a bi-product of petrol (or gas as you call it) It burns cleaner.... better for the ozone But the best part is that it half the price...so I get 30mpg not 15 . Twin tanks where my spare wheel was carry 80 ltrs of LPG costs $30 to fill it and get 230 miles...- MICHAEL PARKER
