    front axle well, I thought I'd maybe try to swap in a solid front axle first too. I don't really like the setup right now. I think its really my only complaint. Any suggestions on what type of axle fits the best?

    thanks thanks for all the imput....money is always of some concern but not as much as safety and quality. I use my explorer for off-roading but also as a daily driver. We get a ton of rain here but from everything I've heard I think i'll go and look at them.

    body lift vs. suspension lift

    exactly so you know my pain then....there's so much to take into account. My buddy just modified his Cherokee with a 4" suspension lift and when all was said and done....it cost him close to $3000.00. 'Course us Canadians have all the lovely taxes to pay and that doesn't help!
