Is there ANYONE here that has installed an aftermarket sub and amp into a 2003 Explorer Sport (or thereabouts) and used the FACTORY head unit? HOW did you get RCA preouts from the back of the radio to the amp? I used this: FL-LOC600 And for some reason all I get is a really low...- bound4h

Power line through firewall?
The same ones that were in my old car, so I know they work (or did work). It's a 2channel eclipse amp and 2 JL Audio W6 12's. I left the wiring exactly the same when i pulled it out of my car. What about the factory sub and amp? It is still hooked up, how do I unhook it? Maybe the prob?- bound4h

Great, found it. Hooked it all up. What did you guys do withyour old amp and sub? How do you disconnect it? Right now both are hooked up and the new subs arent even "hitting" just vibrating. Any ideas?- bound4h
