Four Wheel Drive Acting Funny
Ok, before I begin let me tell you that I did a search on this board and did not come up with any hints as to what my problem might be. I picked my truck up from the shop last week after having the transmission rebuilt. Went fourwheeling today and got into a situation where I needed four wheel...- 70BOSS

Powertrax + Snow?
No, but I own a cabin in Boone NC that sees snow on a regular basis and the occasional trip out west you can usually see a "little"snow. I am putting one in for duck season and I could not imagine that there could be any difference between a powertrax locking up and a traction lok. It takes...- 70BOSS

Powertrax + Snow?
I am one of the fortunate few who have a "4 wheel drive" Explorer with an open rear end and 3.27 gears. I am on the verge of ordering a Powertrax No Slip and was wondering if anyone out there has had experience with them in the white stuff? I am assuming that it could not be that much...- 70BOSS

Bridgestone M/T
I am looking for comments regarding the Bridgestone Dueler M/T. These tires will spend more time on road than off. I can get them at an exceptional price, but am wondering if I should go with the B F Goodrich AT instead. Has anyone run these tires, if so how was the noise level, wear, ride...- 70BOSS

Kumho Tires Road Venture MT
I was interested in these tires also, but have not known anyone that have used them. The price is what attracted my attention. From what I have read on this post I am thinking of getting the more expensive Goodyear MT/Rs. I have heard nothing but good things about them.- 70BOSS

Lockers- Lock-Right???
The powertrax unit does not come with any gears installed or any that need to be installed. It merely takes place of the spider gears and does not require removal of the carrer, ring or pinion gear. Other lockers such as a detroit locker or even a limited slip unit (ie - Auburn, stock Ford...- 70BOSS

351 in a 1st gen...
I don't think a 302 and a 351 block are the same size. The 302 has a 8.2 deck height versus a 351 at 9.5. The Windsor block is approx. an inch wider and an inch taller and the haeds are the same "size".- 70BOSS

loud clicking that stops when I use the brakes! ANY IDEAS?
I had the same problem after replacing pads. Try the blue glue that is made to stop brake squeel. On mine it was the pads rattling, that it why it stops when you touch the brakes.- 70BOSS
