Street or Off Road rims/tires for '02
Finally had to trade my beloved '96 XLT 5.0 battlewagon for an '02 4.6 XLT. Now I have to start all over on the mods. 4.0 good enough for towing?
Thanks for the quick replies. Damn, that 96 of yours looks awesome, Section525. the reason i'm thinking V6 is because we can't find a 4.6 and we can't afford new. the salesmen say the newer explorers have better V6's and more reliable, but I had a 92 Navajo and after a couple years of...- powerman5000

4.0 good enough for towing?
I currently have a 96 with a the 5.0 V8. Love the extra torque and it's been reliable. Looking to replace it with a used 02 or 03 with the 4.6 but they're hard to find. Is the 4.0 V6 and transmission ok for towing? I tow every weekend in the summer- about 3200 lbs- and I need this truck to...- powerman5000
