How many miles do you have now?
2007 Mountaineer 4.6. Currently 231,000. Amsoil Full Synthetic since 5k. No engine or transmission issues. Radiator at 95k. 3 out of 4 wheel bearings - driver front 3 times, exhaust manifold bolts (should have been recall), alternator 5k ago, few other minor repairs, brakes and tires plugs...- MountyStan

Mountaineer won't move forward under throttle
Turns out it was a left front wheel bearing. Not sure if it was the bearing itself or the abs/speed sensor or sensor ring. Either way, $500 and 3 hours later and she was on her way and made it the rest of her trip uneventfully. Note: she called the Ford dealer 5 miles away and they said they...- MountyStan

Mountaineer won't move forward under throttle
Tried it in manual 1. Would manual 2 be different? I'll have her try manual 2 and 3 tomorrow morning and see if there is any difference. She seemed to think there may be a problem with the driver front. I initially thought stuck caliper but the coasting fine and no issue in reverse has me...- MountyStan

Mountaineer won't move forward under throttle
My niece has a 2007 Mountaineer just like mine. She just called and said when leaving a gas station and pulling on to the street her mountaineer suddenly wouldn't go forward no matter how much she pushed on the gas. She turned it off and restarted it and it would move forward very slowly...- MountyStan

Front tires lose air
I have a 2007 Mountaineer 4.6 AWD with 212,000 miles and still runs great. My current issue is that my front 2 tires are losing around 5 to 7lbs of air a week. The rear tires stay steady with no air loss. Both front tires lose aprox the same amount and have checked and there are no punctures...- MountyStan
