Glacier991, you do bring up a very good point. My questions: Will a problem in the transfer case flash the O/D light? Is it physcally possible for the transfer case to fail such that only "REVERSE" is affected? Does anyone have an exploded schematic of the transfer case?- dirtbikez

1995 Explorer XLT w/4R55E
Ok this morning I reset the computer again. Jack up rear axle and rolled both tires freely both directions along with driveshaft. Jacked up the front, rolled both wheels freeley along with front driveshaft. While all four wheels are on the ground I was still unable to roll it backwards...- dirtbikez

1995 Explorer XLT w/4R55E
While my brother was driving home the other night, the O/D light came on and he said the car would not rev above 3K. The light has come on about two times in the past and has been "fixed" by disconnecting the battery, but it did not cure the problem this time. You can feel the truck go...- dirtbikez
