    Rebuilt trnsmission, 6 mths later and now slipping

    No, not a burned smell. But, I just added fluid again yesterday. I will smell again tonight/tomorrow... Unfortuanately I am in Georgia. he had it done in pennsylvania.... It was a local shop. I will definitely call around and get the pressure checked. thanks guys! Mike :us:

    The post auto shop doesn't deal w/ trans. so they couldn't help me check the pressure... Could a local shop do that at my request? I cheked the fluid. Yes, it's darker than what I put in. It also smells different. I would guess engine oil??? Could that be? The trans fluid should only be 8...
