Axle codes.
Does any one know what the rear axle code R6 tells me. I know it is 3.73 with LS, but I haven't been able to find this axle code listed anywhere. It is on a 94 Ranger 4x4 with the 4.0 V6. I know it is an 8.8, but how many splines and what is the width? [Edited by Blue Ranger on 09-14-2000 at...- Blue Ranger

I checked to make sure it wasn't coming from the power steering pump. So, I have two options: A new steering gear for $150 or the seal kit for $42. My question...- Blue Ranger

Bearing whine OR Bad Customer Service???
Tommy, I would have to agree that the whining you are hearing is your autolocking hub. I have had 1 go bad on me. I swithched to the Warns and all is good. Also you said that you have vibration like your wheels are out of balance. Is it possible that you lost some balance weights when you...- Blue Ranger
