ABS light on...what to look for???
Same for me. I initially took my explorer to a shop for them to scan the code but they wanted $50 just to scan for the code. So after doing some research on this forum I checked the resistance for all 3 ABS sensors and the rear sensor was not reading correctly. I replaced it and no problems...- bustergonad

The controversial question of when to change the fluid in the 5R55E automatic trans
Let's see.... I just clocked 160,000 miles and in that time I have changed the filter once (at 70K) and had the fluid flushed once at 100K apart from that......nada.- bustergonad

High milage explorers?
Update on mine 99 Explorer Sport with 113,000 on it. Replaced - Lower ball joints Had a tranny flush Finally replaced the original brake pads at 100,000 Needs a cam sensor/drive replacement soon, it's chirping like crazy now :( Roy :uk:- bustergonad

High milage explorers?
I'm going to hit 101,000 miles tomorrow in my '99 sport. No really major parts replaced, in fact I'm still on the original brake pads (yes I do check them at every oil change). I've got a replacement set in the trunk (had them since 50,000) but since 99% of my driving is on the interstate I...- bustergonad
