tensioner OK, so I finally brought my Explorer to a garage, my mechanic tells me it is NOT the timing chain, he says my noise is coming from inside my left Catalytic converter..... Has anyone ever had this?- HK29

I just talked to my local Ford Dealer, the service man. says if it is the tensioner, it will cost $100.00 for the new kit, and 2.5 hours labour.- HK29

Hello everyone, this is my first thread. I picked up a 97 XLT, with the 4.0L SOHV recently, which i though was a pretty good deal. When ever i start it up (cold start) the lifters click for about 5 seconds. Now when i start it up, when the engine is HOT, she clicks very loud, almost sounds like...- HK29
