    tensioner OK, so I finally brought my Explorer to a garage, my mechanic tells me it is NOT the timing chain, he says my noise is coming from inside my left Catalytic converter..... Has anyone ever had this?

    I just talked to my local Ford Dealer, the service man. says if it is the tensioner, it will cost $100.00 for the new kit, and 2.5 hours labour.
