2000 Sport engine misses above 3000 RPM
Got it! The IAC Valve was the original problem, and apparently Ford now puts rev limiters on their trucks. Called the dealership, and that's the "problem". It only does it in Park or Neutral, but not when you drive down the road. Thanks liqhx2 for all the help!- Mike Varner

2000 Sport engine misses above 3000 RPM
Not a bit of black smoke. I called the dealership, and they recommended changing the IAC valve. Did that last night, and reset the computer, it ran a little better but still cuts out at higher RPMs. I think I'm going to try replacing the DPFE sensor next, then I'm out of ideas. 2000 Sport engine misses above 3000 RPM
Just joined. My 2000 Sport with the V6 has been hard to start, and sometimes is acts like it's flooded. Today was really hot (95 degrees), and it wouldn't start. Eventually we got it started, but it idles low (500 RPM) and it acts like the rev limiter is kicking in when revved. I'm scared to...- Mike Varner
