Stealership repairing timing chains
i had my front done 2000 miles a go mine did the same thing noise was gone for one day only then it came back i'm going to take mine back in because the way i see it if they fix it right it should not be making any noise my old one did not make noise till 89,000 miles now the new one only last...- johnnyc

did i get the shaft
hi i had the front chain tensioner and intake gaskets change by ford about 2,000 miles a go 545 dollars now it is making noise again. i check to see if it was the back one this time but it's not it is the same one they said was change by them. i'm taking it back to them this week has anybody...- johnnyc

thanks for the reply no check engine lights or anything it just buck 2 or 3 times and then just died i was going about 60mph when it stop running it act like it was running out of gas i just change the fuel filter 3 weeks a go and i have 3/4 tank of gas- johnnyc

i need some help the other night my x started running strang. i was driving up the street and the truck felt like i was on and off the gas then it cleared up and was running fine. now lastnight i was driving down the beltway and the truck started to buck then it shut off so i pulled to the side...- johnnyc

changing the tensioners
how tuff of a job is it to change the timing chain tensioner in the back of the motor ? i had the front replaced by ford 543 dollars now i think the back is going bad i'm thinking about trying to fix it my self any info would be a lot of help thanks- johnnyc

4.0 sohc 1/4 time i know for a fact the 5.0 is a great motor but i think the 4.0 sohc will out run most of the 5.0 explorers my 99 sport sohc has chip kn filter and flowmaster it runs 15.52 1/4 mile @ 88mph http://mysite.verizon.net/vze4qnkc/- johnnyc

i need help can somebody please tell me what the fuel pressure should be on a 99 explorer sport sohc 4.0 see if i park on a hill with 1/4 tank of gas and let the truck sit over night it will not start the only way i get it started is by rolling it down the hill to level ground or put more gas in...- johnnyc

it's only when the truck is facing down hill and after the 50 or so miles then it will read on E it will take 6 dollors to get it back on 1/4 tank thanks for the reply- johnnyc
