thanks for the pm clyde, i went ahead and cut it off and straight pipped it. its loud, but its not too loud its awesome in my point of view if anything it could be louder, i love it and it was real cheap. I want to chop off my muffler and just weld on a pipe, but if i do this will i have negative effects, ive heard that itll be too loud and ive heard it wont, so would it be a wise idea to do that?- savagecucumber2

o yea, sorry i mean my t-case, so would both drive shafts be alrite, and if i lengthened both of them about an inch would i be alrite and not have to worry?- savagecucumber2

I have lots of questions and i thought this would be the best place to put them all in one shot. i have heard that when putting larger tires on my exploder, and makeing a jerk in the steering will mess up my outer spindle locknut, im putting on 33s should i be worried?- savagecucumber2

future lift, new to this

future lift, new to this
I have finally decided after about a month to put a 5.5 inch sus lift with 33x12.50x15 tires and 9000 rancho's and 4.56 gearing. I would like to know what you all think about what a good shock would be, i would like to adjust the firmness from a switch inside the cab if possible, i have a 4 inch lift with 33 inch tires. I want to do some heavy duty slammin on them shocks. Any good ideas...- savagecucumber2

new ratio?
i have a stick, and a 4x4 with low range. I also use my explorer for a daily driver, will the new ratio affect me so much as to not allow for that?- savagecucumber2

I thought the 37's would fit, but if i put a 5 1/2 inch lift on they would fit. So would you recommend putting the 4 inch lift on with 35's or the 5 1/2 with 37's for a bigginner to this.- savagecucumber2

I've had my '93 Explorer XlT for awhile now and want to now put some mods to it. I intend to lift my explorer 4 inches with 37 inch tires.
