    why is it so hard to change the oil filter?

    OK, I know I must be doing something wrong or missing something. I have a 2003 Explorer NBX with the 4.6 V8 in it. How the hell do I change the oil filter??? That is, I know how to change a "normal" oil filter - unscrew, rescrew, done. But I can't get the damn thing out of the engine...
