    Thanks for the info. I did up the dealer's paperwork and I found they did mentioned the cause of the problem due to the speed sensors. I am not sure if they replaced them or not, but I fixed the flashing light by resetting the computer. I disconnected the battery and let it sit for a while...

    I have a 98 Explorer SHOC V6 with 100K on it. Just recently, the 4W Hi and 4W Low indicator light keep flashing every 2-3 min interval, is it time for me to change out the motor that control the transfer case to lock in 4x4 mode or there is a fault sensor somewhere? I had this symptom...
