2003 got 2003 WITH the same system. I can't tell when/if it auto shifts. Maybe in the snow but normal driving conditions...no.

B&M said Shiftplus is only for 94-97 or whatever is on the package. 40 bucks down the drain i guess

i had a new muffler put on my X. I noticed that when they did it on previous X's they undid the battery to reset the computer. I am pretty sure that they did not do it this time. any reason why they might not have done it this time? what are the affects of this (if any)? thanks

on a 2003 SOHC, i was thinking of taking out the last kink of the exhaust pipe. it comes out the back but bends because of the spare. i'm wondering if it would make it flow better if i cut off after the bend and ran it straight near the rear tire (out the side). what does everybody think?

Im having trouble with my x. in the morning (warm and cold days) after starting put it in reverse and konks out even when ginving it gas. after that it starts up and runs fine. any help?

does anyone know if the B&M Shiftplus will work on a 2003 X 4.0 SOHC?

my first generation '92 felt like it had enough torque for me same with my 2001 and 2002. they all had 3.73 re. could the 3.55 make that much difference???

im just saying... it feels like a 10-11 second truck whereas my sports felt like 8-9 seconds.

i don't know... it seems like there is nothing there. have to take it to 5000 rpm to feel anything. beginning to wonder if something is wrong.

how much would a 3.73 or 4.10 cost to put on? also the my sports probably did weigh alot less. any idea how much less???

What is the consensus on the 2003 4.0 SOHC XLT? Seems to be underpowered. I did have 3.73 rear end on my sport (which was adequate)and have the 3.55 on this one.

JOE I have the same question. I am ready to put the Shiftplus on my 2003 4.0 SOHC Trans code V. The package is ambigouus the way it is written. It says 94-97 then It says for Trans code ...... Does anyone know the definitive answer as to whether you can put the shiftplus on 98+ explorers...
