caps
i was wondering the best way to install a cap. how far away should it be from the amp. i mean the min. length of wire to use. or is it better to put all the caps inline or put the caps next to each amp. i want put two amps in they are jl500/1 and a 300/4. thanks ron- ron831

wire
has anyone rewired under the hood? i'm talking about from the battery to starter and alt. also the ground wire from the same place. if so what size did you use and was it worth it? any performance gains in the amps or the headligt dim problem? thanks ron- ron831

volt meter
when i turn my heater blower on my volt gauge goes way down. i have none of my acc. on either. i have a yellow top battery (3 months old) and a 200amp alt. (2 days old). it did this for awhile so that is why i got a new alt. but my problem is still there. i'm wondering if i can check...- ron831

i have 2 jl w6 in a q-logic sealed box powered by a rockford bd1000a1. let me say it sounds great. i think you would be fine with what you want to get, or do. ron- ron831

Will upgrading speakers and sub suffice?
just by putting the sub in will make a big improvement. if you go with better speakers you may need an amp to get the most out of them. i would start with the sub and go from there. that is how i started. but as you will find out from yourself and others once you start on this system you...- ron831

pods PekingMan, they sound great i have awsome front staging thats what i was after. also i did not have to move the e-brake. i have no picks as of yet looking to get a digital camera soon. ron- ron831

kick panels just to let you know i put the q-logic pods in my explorer and had no problem with the e-brake. just my 2 cents. one thing i did do was put a coat of fiberglass in them. that was to stiffing them up a bit. also put some dynomat in them then packed some poly-foam around the...- ron831

tire pressure
should you go by the sticker on the door? or what you think is right? i put new tires on the same size as the factory and on the tire it says 44lbs. and my door sticker says 30lbs. i'm just wondering what you all think i'm not trying to be stupid thanks- ron831

Subwoofer hook-up
i did this before i did a total make over. all you need to do is tap into the rear speaker wires and wire them to the sub. run the power wire to the battery, ground it to the vehicle. then find the power wire that goes to the amp comming from the radio you will need a test light. tap into it...- ron831

What is the best stuff you can buy to stop those stupid rattles?
try putting some dynomat around your speaker openings thats what i did and it seemed to help also look around the area where you hear the noise and try to fix it loose panel broken clip etc. also check your head unit if it is an after market like mine it did not fit well on the din slide it just...- ron831
