you may not be able to get your speaker wires behind the head unit. most explorers have the jbl sound system in it. if yours has this, than there will be a gray cable behind the radio that you can not splice into. however you can find the factory amp behind the rear panel on the passanger side...

sorry, the box is way too small to get a 12 in there. to do it, you would have to cut the panel and the box but there would not be enough airspace. also i have never seen a box for the drivers side.

i just put on a new billet grill insert on my 97 explorer. the problem that i have is getting to the hood release. sure i can stick a screwdriver in there to open it, but does anyone have a better non-ghetto idea?

there was no discoloration, but my explorer is white. there was some residue, but after 2-3 normal washes that was gone.

i use these all the time. we use them on almost every radio we install at best buy. the sound difference is great if you get the right pair. all you are doing is just blocking the bass that the speaker can not reproduce anyways.

on the ford's there are mainly two types of security systems. on where the theft light flashes whenever the car is off (has a bigger key then normal) this is the pats system. the other is just a conventional type alarm. however i have never seen them light up white.
