rear leaf spring R&R
Well, what did you do to take six hrs and need torches? I did both sides of my 93 and added a leaf to both in three. You don't have to remove the brakes or anything like that. I put my frame on jackstands just ahead of the rear springs, took off the wheels, loosened and removed the shocks, put a...- RVZFloydian

Brake light and Rear anti lock light
Your pedal going to the floor could be caused by several things. You may have air in the system, you might have a bad master cylinder, you might even need to adjust your rear brakes. I had a Mercury Mystique come in at work with the same lights on. It turned out to be a bad connector plug at the...- RVZFloydian

My Explorer DIED!!
Sounds like you've broken either your input or output shaft in the tranny. Since it only makes the noise when you put it in gear, I'd say the output shaft to the transfercase is broken.- RVZFloydian

I just recently parked my wifes Ex with 198,000. Sadly enough, here in Pa, the drivetrain outlasts the body.Road salt sucks.- RVZFloydian

Why BOSCH plugs not rrecommended
It has always seemed to me that some peoples big gains may be someone elses negligible gains. Any piece or part is prone to failure and no company can boast 100% reliability, so there's always going to be debate on what works and what doesn't. As for my personal experience, run what it came...- RVZFloydian

Shackle suggestion and question
 I would like to suggest that if any one is planning on putting more than a 3-4 inch shackle on their Ex, consider boxing the shackles. It will add some stability and durability to the mod. Does any one else see it this way?- RVZFloydian

What is required for BL on 94 XLT
OK, I was slightly wrong about suspension mods. I added a set of main leafs on the back, with 3/4 of the eye cut off, under the original mains, and I must say that I am very pleased with the results.:D as for the front no mods on this one.:(- RVZFloydian

What is required for BL on 94 XLT
Ummmm, I have 31/10.50's on my 93 and they don't rub. I can't figure what all the fuss is on lifting and rubbing. I run stock wheels and no susp mods. My Ex has the stock alum. five slanted spoke flat-faced wheels. Why don't my tires rub?:banghead:- RVZFloydian

Oh so my suv isnt a race car!?
This is a good one about the coffee lady I heard on the radio one morning shortly after the "incedent". I mean no offense by this post, but it was HILARIOUS! Radio: Did you hear about the lady that sued Mickey dee's? Yeah, what's up with that? How would you present that case? Its not like the...- RVZFloydian

Solid axle ?'s
Thats a very good point, but take a look at all the vehicles running around from the factory with "flatfaced" wheels on them. Besides, a fullsized 44 should be able tohandle the stress fine. They're tough old axles. :D- RVZFloydian

Solid axle ?'s
Just a thought, Since most figure they'll get new wheels, why not get wheels with the correct backspacing to "suck up" some of the width of a full-width 44? That should help keep the tires under the wheelwells.:D - RVZFloydian
