I have a 1996 explorer sport 4x4 with torsion twist and shackles. I am interested in upgrading my wheels to a newer model. I have been looking at some 16" and 17" wheels that I like. I am looking to get a set of the BFG all-terrains along with new wheels, and I'm wondering what the largest size...- SC4x4Sport'96

I currently have a 1996 Explorer Sport, and my stereo has only the tape player. I really want to find a cd/tape player combo that someone has taken out and would sell me. I have looked a lot on ebay but most of them are for newer models and their descriptions say that they only fit 2000 models...- SC4x4Sport'96

Aftermarket HUs - likes and dislikes
I have a Sony 10 disc changer. I mounted it on the back of the rear seats. Getting the changer was more appealing to me because I would not have to fill the extra space where the factory system went with one of those crappy shelves. So far it is working great, had it about two years. Highly...- SC4x4Sport'96

'98 Explorer Sport
bmuller: factory wheels I noticed in your wish list you wanted same new wheels. I have a 1996 Sport with the hoof print style rims. I really like the rim model of the later models like yours. Was wondering if you would be interested in selling them? Let me know something, please. Thanks- SC4x4Sport'96

Sooooooooo?? I have read all the replies, but with me not having very much experience with this it all gets a little confusing. What would be the easiest and most cost efficient way to get the necessary lift in the rear of my 1996 Explorer Sport(mono-leaf). Tips appreciated.- SC4x4Sport'96

I think I'm getting ready to put the 2" lift by turning the torsion bars and using add-a-leaf on my 1996 explorer sport. Just wanted to know the best and easiest place to buy the add-a-leaf products. When installing the add-a-leaf how long should it take? and could someone with no experience...- SC4x4Sport'96
