Rate your exhaust system
just as a sudgestion, use a K&N or KKM conical filter and you should notice a significant sound differance, especially at higher throttle. ------------------ 93EB- NickD

an inch and a half enough for 31" tires?
I have yet another question then. Will shackles only lift the rear because I dont have any on the front, or is it different than the back? I think I have been confused with what shackles do to an explorer, they only lift the back, is that right? ------------------ 93EB- NickD

an inch and a half enough for 31" tires?
Will the inch and 1/2 lift by shackels give my 93 EB (currently under factory susp.) enough lift to put 31" or 32" BFG tires on? I cant afford a susp lift right now but need big enough tires for the lift later. any help would be appreciated ------------------ 93EB- NickD

My explorer is a 93. The message about the rewiring was what I was told by soundtrack when I bought my system. Thinking about it, it might be for only eddie bauers with the sub. Unless thats what they told me to get them to do it for more money!!! But that is how my stereo was wired and...- NickD

READ THIS!!!!
I dont know why but Ford built most explorers with a premium sound syst that are intertwined....This means that if you up-graded anything (from cd deck to speakers to subs and amp) you have to rewire EVERYTHING. If you blow one speaker, all four have to be replaced. I had soundtrack install a...- NickD

prem. sound, do i have the amp?
Unless you have an eddie bauer, you do not have an external amp. My EB came with an external amp powering a 6" sub included in the premium sound system that FoMoCo put in the explorer. (the sub is in the rear left of the cargo area) If you have an XL or XLT you have the Ford premium stereo but...- NickD
