adjust your TPS (another free hp mod)
Idle adj. for first generations, Too? :p Am I correct in assuming that this procedure should work with early 4.0L, also. I can't see why not unless there was something different about newer X's. I did the TPS mod w/decent results w/o adjusting the Idle, But every little bit helps. Thanks- mprocek

Bad starts What do you guys think is causing these "backfires" at start up? Mine has been doing it since I got it 2 yrs. ago, only a bad vaccuum modulator caused ATF to shoot out of the hoses. With the mod. and hoses replaced, they don't pop off anymore, but the bad starts...- mprocek

Overhead console installed! Pics!
CMartin91 What model/year console did you put in your '91, & did you have to modify anything to make it work? I'm going to attempt this if I can find everything I need. I wonder if the sport is any different than the XLT. ***Sorry about bustin' in on your thread, Mark, but your pics sold...- mprocek

Fuel pump running on
When I bought my '92 XLT a couple of years ago I had the exact same problem. It was the fuel pump running continuously, even with the key off. A bad fuel pump relay was the culprit. I guess the contacts were sticking or something. Anyway, I replaced it with a new one from the dealer for...- mprocek
