Have a look at the heater hoses as they go through the firewall on the passenger side. If they are leaking, there will be obvious signs. Else you could look at the heater core inside the passenger compartment (just beneth the glove box). Remove the access panel and you will be able to see if the...- James359

4X4 low
I've seen this when shifting my beastie into 4Low. I just but the tranny into neutral before shifting into 4Low, and the problem goes away. Shifting out out 4Low, I do the same thing. Never had a problem after the blinking light.- James359

Gear noise intermittantly when accelorating

I replaced the spark plugs with the Bosch Platinum +4 (4 side electrodes rather than the normal L shaped ground electrode which opens the spark to the combustion chamber), and also changed the air filter to a K&N unit. Hesitation gone...- James359

Oil Filter Pedestal
Hi all. I have a '91 Ford Explorer 4X4 4Dr with a 4.0L and Automatic trans. I have traced an oil leak to the oil filter area. I have recently changed the oil and filter, so I know that the oil filter is not loose (like the previous one). I visited the local Ford dealership, and found that...- James359
