Cracking sound coming from front end
I get the same noise from mine and it's a 2WD. Always when it's cold and windy. I've replaced Bearings, rotors, Bushings, windshield wiper fluid you name it. Has done it from day one and I now have 126K on it. So, It's really more of an annoyance than anything.- Horizon200

Major Damage to my '92 - Engine troubles
Head Gasket. Same thing on a Pontiac Sunbird my sone drove. Same thing on a Ford Windstar a freind had. I fixed my son's for a couple hundred $$ (Included new cam Timing belt Water pump Etc Etc basically a new top end) He spent over $600 at an engine shop. Labor will kill ya!- Horizon200

I did mine this past summer Front & Rear. Most important make sure you replace the bearings while you're in there. What would I do differently? I'd make sure I had more Silver Soda's (Coors Lites) cooling in the fridge and I'd get a short squat stool to sit on!. It really was a breeze to...- Horizon200

Hello All Newbie with some ????'s
Hi all, found this link thru the COBRA FORUM. I own a 1992 Explorer XLT with the 4.0L engine. I noticed my Temp gauge reading a little high but then dropping back down. It continued to do this thru the whole range of the word "Normal" on the guage. I initially thought the T-Stat was sticking...- Horizon200
