    They are, except instead of T-bars like the Explorer, they use springs. Keep in mind, this is for 2wd, I don't know about 4wd. In '98 when the almighty beams were axed. :thumbdwn:

    The Explorers have T-bars while the Ranger has coils (unless it was an EDGE). As for jumping, both won't do too well. The Explorer might do slightly better since it has more weight over the rear axle, which means (theoretically) it would fly more level in the air and land smoother.

    stallling an automatic while doing donuts in snow?????

    How much gas do you have in the tank when you are doing this? If you are like half empty, when you spin or drift to one side, all your fuel flows that way to the side of the tank and there is less for the fuel pump to pickup. Then when you stop and the fuel is level again, it starts right up...
