torque converter frustration
thats what it was. took off the front of the tans.(bellhousing)? and that gave me enough play to reseat the rear of the input shaft. thanks for all the help- majurtom

torque converter frustration
well i think thats my problem then. the teeth of the input shaft are out past the stator with almost an inch of smooth shaft showing. i tried to push it back in or pull it out but it is firm. almost like its locked in place. i can turn it by hand and the output turns with it. anyone ever had...- majurtom

thanks for the replies, the converter is not seating i guess becouse i can almost stick my hand behind it. on the shafts (dont know thier names) but the small internal one does not move in and out right? i want to make sure im not bottoming out on the shaft. sorry if these are newby questions...- majurtom

torque converter frustration
hi all and thanks for any help. i had to replace my flex plate with(aftermarket) and spacer with(factory). during trans removal the torque converter came out. i reseated it, but during trans reinstall the flexplate is bottoming out on the torque converter but there is still about a half inch gap...- majurtom
