    Code help

    my 98 explorer 4.0 has a flashing CEL and it feels like if it was misfiring. Today after I used it I took a look at the converters closest to the engine and the right side one was red hot the left was ok. Could this be a clogged converter and the cause of the CEL. Any imput would help...
