    Well i would get the ecu and harness from the donor truck..what else wouldnt clip in? is there other boxes, harness connectors underneath?

    well trade in for an explorer with a shot motor is ****..:( wouldnt a V8 swap "bolt" right in? i know ill need the complete motor and wiring harness but what else wouldnt work? has anybody done it here? please lmk Thanks Dean

    Does a 97-98 V8 setup from a explorer drop in a 95 eddie bauer edition and what exactly would i need for the swap to make it work besides the motor, euc, harness, tranny, transfer case and radiator? Thanks guys! Dean p.s I posted this twice and both times it got deleted???

    PLEASE help with V6 to V8 p5 explorer swap

    The motor went agin in my 95 eddie edition and i wanted to install a 97 or 98 V8 unit from a donor truck and use the tranny (auto) transfer case, motor and ecu. Is this a direct replacement? and what else would i need besides the radiator. exhuast? Thanks for any imput Dean

    Hey mike whats up my friend...its been a long time..:):) yea the damn motor went again and im almost ready to burn this ****er but you know me if there is a project avail im all over it..:) im considering doing a 98 full on swap with motor, tranny, transfer case and wiring...im a lil sared..:)...

    RU planning to put a 302 in your X?

    Would it matter what year the V8 model explorer was? like if i wanted to do a 98 model swap or a 97, would it matter? it is an auto also but i think i would swap everything including transfer case...please do give me as much imput as possible. thanks

    please do explain exactly how hard a 1995 4.0 swap is to a V8. I have a 95 with a blown motor and would love ot swap it all out for an 8. Im located in CT and if it fails emmisions 3 times and a mechanic can sign off on it they give you a pass sticker. what are my optinos please Thanks Dean

    I have been through 2 v6 motors this year and was wondering if i could swap in the guts from a 98 5.0.. motor, tranny (auto) wiring harness and other stuff? If there is another option please do let me know as iht si smy wifes truck and i never really worked on a ford before. I have done...
