1998 2wd rangers dont have torsion bars..my buddys in the same boat, and spindles aint cheap- lauren

ok, well my funs ruined..jk..we went to auto zone to look at the shackles they have there...and i got a measurment that was about 8 1/4 inches from upper bolt to lower bolt.i want to make her some shackles for the rear(and not let her buy the auto zone shackles) just becuase of the strength...- lauren

ok i have to get a few things off my chest, this is my girlfriends name on this forum from when she had her 97 explorer 4x4(*btw. i loved wheelin in that thing)...since then she has gotten a jeep wrangler with a 4 inch lift and 32s..i have a 97 cherokee with about 5 inches of lift and 32s...ok...- lauren

blocking rear leafs...

i was going to buy some 2 inch blocks yesterday, but i looked under at the leaf springs, and they looked to be blocked like two inches from the factory (like shims)...i was wondering if it would be reasonable to go ahead and buy those 2 inch blocks, or would it be tacky and unsafe?...if its not...- lauren

LIFT...by adjusting torsion bars??
hey, i have a 97 explorer 4x4 with torsion bar ifs in the front....leading to my question..ive heard that it is possible to adjust teh torsion bar for a little bit of lift????...if so, how would i do it and how much lift would it provide. along with any dissadvantages?...any help would be great...- lauren
