The check engine light did come back on. It was P0455 so you were correct. I checked my gas cap and think it might have been lose. It is cleared again so I need to check better during fill-ups or dig into it deeper. The AC just needed a recharge.

My 97 same V6 SOHC engine had 167,300 when I bought it recently. It is at 169,000 now and hasn't shown any signs of problems. Not knowing the past maintenance history I did the oil change right away.

Hi ROrsburn, I am in Knoxville TN and just bought a 97 XLT 4 door. I am also new to this site.

I was curious about all that smoke. Is that what is supposed to happen after a seafoam treatment? Does that smoke clear up in short order or not? To me that looks like you have some serious trouble.
