Is it worth it to dish out for a V8 over the V6?
engine I have the v8 because I need it for towing the boat 4000 pounds. I have the towing package so hopefully that will eliminate problems. On the highway and not towing OD on I get 21. to the gallon. Towing the boat with OD off I get 16 MPG. The city around 14. There is never any problem...- pup

roof reak noise
Since I got my explorer I noticed that at highway speeds the rack causes a noise that only goes away when I am behind another vehicle- I guess that disturbs the air flow enough that stops the noise. Is there anything short of taking them off the roof to stop the noise? thanks:redexp:- pup

throttle body last 12000 miles
They do it under warranty so I would think that they would fix whatever is causing it too. I got the impression that it happens to the v8s only.- pup
