My 1994 Explorer parking brake control assembly needs to be replaced (the foot peddle goes to floor due to the ratchet pawl slip). I can buy the entire unit from Ford for $188. Does anyone know if this is a difficult DIY job? Or perhaps the old "recall wedge" can be bought from my Ford dealer...
