cracked paint on roof welding strip
I was the one that posted earlier about the sealant on the roof. What did your body shop do? The one that took care of my truck said that they removed all the old sealant (not a fun job apparently) and resprayed the roof. I'm not sure whether they resealed the channel or just sprayed the...- 06EBV8

FRPP Hot Rod Camshafts
Anybody here put the FRPP Hot Rod Cams in their 3V motors? Thinking of getting these cams for my truck but not sure if there are any tuners out there that will change the valve timing...apparantly you need an aftermarket tune to make the engine idle without stalling. Hopefully someone here has...- 06EBV8

cracked paint problem on roof.. please read!
I had this on my truck as well. Got it covered while the truck was still under bumper to bumper warranty. According to the guy at the body shop (this particular dealer doesn't have their own so they send the work out) there is some sealant that Ford puts in there for whatever reason. The...- 06EBV8

Differences between 2006, 2007, and 2008 Explorer
They're basically the same truck with very minor trim, badging and interior changes. I suppose the 2006's (being the first year) can be the considered the least desirable-they have no notch in the door panel armrest for closing the door (it doesn't bother me the least bit but it appears it...- 06EBV8

Totally Stumped
It appears you may have 2 coolant sensors-one for the engine ECM and one for the gauge. I have access to online manuals through work but the pictures are bad and they only show one sensor-that one appears to be screwed into a coolant passage near or on the intake manifold beside the coil pack...- 06EBV8

Totally Stumped
That stop leak stuff is actually pretty bad for the cooling system. I've seen cars with plugged heater cores, coolant passages and radiators as a result of using stop leak-it has a sand type of additive in it which plugs leaks. I'll assume you have a V6-the clutch fan is electrically...- 06EBV8

V8 exhaust suggestions please
I've put a Gibson cat-back on my Explorer and I'm very happy with it. I posted pics in the 'Show us your exhaust' thread in this forum-either on this page or the next one. Ultimately the choice will come down to personal preferance and amount of $$ you want to spend. I went to YouTube and...- 06EBV8

Show us your exhaust!
I put a Gibson cat-back system on my V8. The website says for 2wd only but it will fit a 4wd. It's only a single 3" system with a 3.5" stainless tip. After looking under my truck a dual system will be very tight to fit. The gas tank and filler neck take up all the room on the passenger side. I...- 06EBV8
