? On How to Increase Stock Sub Output
One thing that I did on my old 99 was added an amplified stealth enclosure from MTX, takes up no space, requires only minor wiring skills and sounds awesome. I now have the unit for sale and its $225 shipped to the 48 states, it retails for $449 new and its only 4 months old. Otherwise you can...- cutlr7

Problems with unlocking driver door
Had same problem and dealer fixed it for one hour labor and $32 for part. The tech looked right at the door and showed me the little spring that is the culprit like so many in this thread have experienced. I was glad to know the issue I had wasn't a new one, thanks again everyone......- cutlr7

Front left axle noise in 99 XLT
Well It only happens when 4wd kicks in and my mechanic topped all the fluids off when he replaced the transfer case last month. That being said the boots are also in tact as well. :(- cutlr7

Ok go to my local mechanic and he replaces it with 9k mile case. Cool issue solved or so I thought. Icey times in VA require 4wd...- cutlr7

installing 6.5's in a 2003 Explorer?
Hokie hit it perfect. I just installed some Boston Acoustics Pro 6.5s in my 99 and used some MDF to make the needed mounting plates. I used my old 5x7s as a reference, traced out the needed pattern then used the mounting ring to cut the needed hole. Fit fine. I also used the baffles to fit...- cutlr7
