Turns out the dealer "found" an air duct and installed it during my service. I'm thinking the dealer removed it last year when replacing the steering rack (replaced at 70K miles by ESP) and never put it back. I'll take it! Lesson learned to always check underneath before leaving... Thanks all!
This thread was incredibly helpful. Thanks all! I just noticed my PTU air duct was missing on my 2016 XLT w/tow package when I went underneath to check for a different problem. I'll ask the dealer for an estimate to replace when I go in for a routine service this week. I still have ESP...
Ford approved the warranty repair for the paint bubbles. The dealer sub'd the repair to a local body shop where I received a new hood with matched paint. They had the car for 4 days. Just got it back yesterday. Looks great! Perfect match to the bronze fire and good alignment on the hood...
1st paint bubble emerged on my bronze fire hood sometime within the first year. Now at the 2 year mark I'm up to 3 bubbles; all across the front edge. Very disappointing. I'll see what the dealer says at the next oil change.
