So, you're another person confirming the fix as stated. :) Since you purchased the part directly, would you please post the Ford part number. It would make it easy for those in the future seeing the post.- michail1

Cruise Control Problem on '03 Sport Trac
To install a remote start, you don't even need to pop the hood (other than maybe to disconnect the battery). So, the switch should have nothing to do with remote start. Remote start is tied to the brake switch at the pedal. The brake master switch is NC (normally closed). I just happened...- michail1

Cruise Control Problem on '03 Sport Trac
Temporary -- My problem started as intermitted. I could press the cruise on button many times with the indicator briefly lighting. It would eventually turn on and work if I kept pressing the button. I put up with it for some time, because it wasn't worth bringing in for repair and dealing...- michail1

Cruise Control Problem on '03 Sport Trac
I have the remote start as well. Agreed, it has nothing to do with the cruise control part. My vehicle is COMPLETELY stock (except the remote start). The switch that goes bad is in the brake master cylinder. (Not the brake switch as the brake pedal). It was mentioned that the switch...- michail1

Cruise Control Problem on '03 Sport Trac
Cruise control fixed. Sorry, forgot to respond. Since mine was in warranty ($100 deductible), I decided to bring it in. Just in case it was more than just a possible switch (and they provided a rental car for the day). I am confirming it was the switch on the brake master cyclinder...- michail1

Thanks. Now just need to find a cheaper set than OEM. I thought the slotted/cross drilled was supposed to be better by everyones standard. They are warranty, but they are not going to swap again (this was the third time in a year). Brake pads - I was also told the ceramics were the...- michail1

Remote Start
Remote Start - 05 Sport Trac Interface with PATS :us: I had one installed. $266 after tax. Uses the factory remote (FOB). Press LOCK three times. (Saw someone had on UNLOCK button, but that seems strange, because you don't want your car running with the doors unlocked - should change to...- michail1

Cruise Control Problem on '03 Sport Trac
Cruise Control FIXED!!! I had the same problem. After reading about many different things people have tried and expenses, I decided to bring it in under the $100 warranty deductable. They fixed it in a day for what they lead me to believe was common enough problem that they had the parts...- michail1
