is it possible for someone to punch buttons on outside entry and mees it all up?

wonder if something is broke, electric locks work fine from inside and key works fine also, just the remote quit working and i think when it did the anti-theft and the auto-lock feature quit also, with the auto-lock i'm referring to when you put vehicle in reverse the doors use to lock, but not now.

well, i found the computer in the right quarter panel, drivers side, but can't get to it to see if factory code for keyless remote is on it.

i tried that 5 times, on and off, nothing

thanks, i read the owners manuel and it said the 5 digit factory code to the keyless entry system was taped on the computer module, that's why i wanted to know where it was.

do you know where the computer module is located on a 96 explorer?
