Greg If you have ONE plug rusted out in the middle than chances are ALL of them are about to go! That is the problem with water it rusts out the freeze plugs.. I strongly advise punching that little fella INSIDE of the head and putting one of those expansion rubber plugs in it.s place. Then...- Big Jim M

how do automatic no slip lockers work?
I will volumteer.. hold on tight! Ok they are the same as the old military 2-lever ones.. All the lever does is cause the front driveshaft to turn! The electric buttons of today do the exact same thing. So now we have the driveshafts turning at the same speed and the lockout hubs (if...- Big Jim M

Front Locker Performance in a 2nd Generation Explorer
Ok that tells me something That may be why the Jeep mechanic said there was nothing to hold in the noslip even if it would go inside of the carrier. He did say the axels would slip right out of the carrier. Thanks I needed that. Big Jim- Big Jim M

You are WRONG on that point Jason! I do believe you... I guess I have had the biggest bunch of stupid idiots around me that one person could have. I am gonna get me a 92-0435-2702 and put the damn thing in myself. One question. What holds the axel in to the pumpkin? Are there C-clips...- Big Jim M

Front Locker Performance in a 2nd Generation Explorer
Ok so now MAYBE I know! :) I spoke with Jeff at Richmond and got from him that they have crossed out the D-35 IFS ABS part number from their catalog. He does not know why? So I called Randy's Gear in Washington State.. I spoke to Grant. I got an earful from him. Grant told me that to his...- Big Jim M

Maybe so but I do not understand it! :) Powertrax claims the No-slip never did work... I had one and they paid me to send it back. Something about the size of the carrier from 97 up and the needed size of the no-slip. I do not doubt you but the company is adamint that it never did work...- Big Jim M

Ecountering trouble with powertrax install!!!
Howdy FB98 I do not see how any miles at all would cause the locker to "break in". It is not even turning unless it is ingaged. If it is ingaged then the "break in" time is over. Big Jim :) :)- Big Jim M

Ok I spent theday searching and talking to presidents and such... Now here are the skinny's! The ONLY locking device available for the front of a 1997 up D-35 (IFS and Abs) is the LOCKRIGHT... The no-slip is off of the market. Also checked with Aussie lOCKER. Bill Cole (president) told me...- Big Jim M

I just went to RICHMOND GEAR I checked on the D-35 number for their no-slip the number is: 92-0435-2702. Then I checked on their installation manuals... There is NOT a manual on their site for this part number. The 99 and up D-35's require IFS and ABS. I also left mail for everyone In...- Big Jim M

Howdy Guys! Are you ready for what I have to say? I am the proud owner of a 99 Ranger 4X4 and I have endevored to place a no-slip in the front (35)... It will not go in there. In a phone conversation between the vendor and POWERTRAX and me while the 35 was open... it was decided that...- Big Jim M
