2002 XLT-Whistling noise
Isn't this just the vaccum lines to the auto temp control unit? Thats what I thought was making the sound in mine.- b52

Gas Mileage Results to date on 2002 4.6 AWD
Great info... I was wondering about this. Mine is averaging 13 according to my message center. I suspected after the first few thousand miles it would get better. BTW, I have a 2003 Limited w/ 4.6L.- b52

2003 Limited w/ Advance Trac Noise
Thanks for the welcome, I'm a former 2001 Sport Trac owner. Quite frankly in comparison, my new X is night and day compared to my Trac. Power, ride, everything! And yes I agree the new 03 Limited is sweet with the chrome stylin. Without it, I would probably still be driving my Sport Trac...- b52

2003 Limited w/ Advance Trac Noise
I've noticed when first starting my X and beginning to move a quick cycling brake noise. The noise only lasts a second and I don't feel anything. It appears to come from the driver side. In the owners manual it says a momentary noise from the brakes is normal. Has anyone else notice this...- b52

2003 Explorer Limited, first performance mod
