high/centre brakelight problem
Hello, My 97 Explorer Limited high/centre bralkelight on the tailgate was not working and I was quoted $500 to replace. It has recently began to work intermitently. aussie fuel prob
My 97 Limited (Australian Spec) does exactly the same thing. Have learnt to not park facing downhill with less than quarter tank of fuel or at least park so I can roll down to level ground.- 0zexplorer

No Park / Emergency Brake
Went on a 200km round trip, on the way home I heard a slight squeak from the wheels but was not concerned. When I got home i pulled on e brake and the handle went all the way up until it hit the centre console, car rolled forward. Thats one long trip, so how many kms has your car done I am interested in ths sort of km aussie explorers are getting up to. My local dealer has seen one with 300000km on the clock without any major probs. I have done 140000km without any major probs except for the larest manifold o ring prob.- 0zexplorer

Lower intake manifold o ring fix in Australia
Thanks to this board I have finally found out why my 1997 Explorer starts and runs so badly each morning, the lower intake manifold o rings. This problem has plaguede me for 18 months with little joy fixing by the dealer. But hows this, Ford Australia will not replace them free as you are able...- 0zexplorer

clicking noise when air cond is on
