Lift kit 95-97 4d = 98+ Ranger?
Trailmaster 4" lift for 96-2001 Trailmaster told me at SEMA 2000 that they now make a 4" lift for the later model Explorers.- Ydnar

Convert from V8 AWD to 4WD
I like the idea of a little more power than the V6. However Ford doesn't offer the V8 in a 4x4. And since I plan on replacing the transfercase with the Atlas II, both axles with Danas, and adding a Superlift 5.5", is it reasonable to expect this is possible? Will the transmission still work...- Ydnar

Studded tires?
Re: Studs My dad has 2 sets of tires - with and without studs. He lives at Lake Tahoe. They are a necessity in the winter months. The studs don't last long on dry roads.- Ydnar

Explorer Purchase
The only lift I know for a later model Explorer (1999 or 2000) is the new Trailmaster 4" that's why the addtl body lift. Its all I could find at SEMA 2000. But I will check on the legal limits - thanks for the heads up. Hey, damage can always be fixed. My philosophy is - if it gets...- Ydnar

Explorer Purchase
Hi all, I want to purchase the correct model Explorer. Before I do, I would like to ask the experts a few questions. I would like to end with a trail worthy street legal vehicle - not a rock crawler but not a whimp. So here goes. I plan on adding the following items 4" suspension lift...- Ydnar
