Never thought this day would come. Unbelievably disappointed.
This is why I HATE the current dealer-manufacturer system. The dealerships should be either owned by Ford (or GM, or whomever is the primary) and beholden to the customer. Otherwise I do not see the need for the dealership model. Do direct sales and let me take it to whomever for warranty work.- GroundPilot

Can Anyone Confirm Engine Noise Enhancement?
Understood Omar. However coming from a guy that had a '72 Chevelle muscle-car and a 2012 Camaro SS with after-market exhaust, chip, intake...unless I am buying some sort of SuperSport Explorer (above and beyond the Sport of today), I want my SUV *QUIET*. It is an SUV, a multi-purpose vehicle...- GroundPilot

Can Anyone Confirm Engine Noise Enhancement?
Wait, am I reading this right that people want/Ford provided a capability where V8-type "sounds" come through the speakers? Seriously???!!!! I would not ever buy a product that had that BS in it unless it could be permanently disabled. Holy wow talk about the ultimate in ******-fakery. *palmface*- GroundPilot

What would happen if the gear accidentally puts in reverse on the forward motion?
While an old thread I figured I would assist anyone looking again in the future to calm there nerves in case they do this....like I did this week. "The safest bet is to just not do it," said Craig Renneker, Ford's Chief Engineer for transmission programs. As a way of protecting us from...- GroundPilot

2015 Sport didn't make it off the dealer's lot without issue - do I have a lemon?
I never said anything about not getting a potential discount on the price, it was already 5K off of MSRP before negotiations started. With that said, let us not confuse personal views on new vs. legal views on "new". A never titled vehicle, with warranty covering the added miles and no real...- GroundPilot

2015 Sport didn't make it off the dealer's lot without issue - do I have a lemon?
Looked new, smelled new, no scratches, dings or dents and warrantied until the added mileage is accounted for, never been titled...it IS new. Why do people insist that a "new" vehicle must have almost zero miles on it? What about test drives? I want to test drive the vehicle I am going to buy...- GroundPilot

Explorer Gas Mileage - including Ecoboost
Ummm...I did. I wanted out of the Camaro but still wanted something sporty, fun yet got reasonable gas mileage (which to me equals a combined MPG above 20). So there was at least ONE person that did.- GroundPilot

2015 Sport didn't make it off the dealer's lot without issue - do I have a lemon?
Ummmm...not even close. Hell my NEW truck had 330 miles on it. Sometimes it is from being driven from another dealer/location, sometimes it is the one the Sales manager drives home, or sometimes it is the one given to a potential customer for the night/weekend as a test drive (like it was...- GroundPilot

Explorer Gas Mileage - including Ecoboost
Whenever I wish I would have gotten the Sport instead of my Limited these threads make me happy. I was getting better gas mileage in a 400+hp Camaro!- GroundPilot

Differences between the Sport and Limited
I do not think an extra 50-ish horsepower is going to over-power the Limited's suspension. Would it handle like a Sport? No, of course not, but it is not going to be a death trap because of the extra HP either. I drive 40-miles one-way to work everyday, I want plush and luxury, thus my choice...- GroundPilot

Differences between the Sport and Limited
Agreed. I think people just confuse the "well it is more expensive thus it is the top dog vehicle" with that fact that the turbo engine and suspension bits cost more, but as you said they are designed to do two different things, appeal to two different people. I think the Sport is great, but...- GroundPilot

Differences between the Sport and Limited
No it is not. That is why one is called the Sport model, one is the Limited. They ARE supposed to be different. One is designed for ultra-luxury, the other for sportiness. Lowered suspension, AWS, turbo....those things scream sport. I see both trims as equal at the top, one for relaxing...- GroundPilot

Lowering the Explorer
Totally cool, like I said just odd to me. I say that coming from a Camaro SS with intake/exhaust, chipped and lowered. The EX is my "opposite" vehicle, large, comfortable, capable of going most places I need it to go in comfort, from dinner in downtown Atlanta at Ruth's Chris to a campground...- GroundPilot

Lowering the Explorer
Interesting statement and begs the question...why buy an SUV then? For pure "street rods" I guess I understand the appeal (and I do think they LOOK better) but I am not sure I want to take a 40K+ vehicle, engineered by people much smarter than me, designed as a utility vehicle (interior carry...- GroundPilot
