96 explorer stuck in Park and key cylinder won't turn.
I have replaced it before with an a cylinder from autozone that comes with a new key and i have a separate key for the locks. I defiantly don't wanna drill into the column , but if i drill the pin out enough the cylinder will slide out right?- Rambopants

Yeah that's the problem, if the key won't turn forward i can't pull the cylinder out to inspect it.- Rambopants

No if I take the ignition switch off the column (under the dash) and push the switch with my finger it will start and i have all the normal functions like i would if the cylinder wasn't stuck.- Rambopants

No the wheel feels like it unlocks after i pull the ignition switch out. When i put it back in it feel like it locks again. Either way the cylinder still won't turn.- Rambopants

96 explorer stuck in Park and key cylinder won't turn.
Can anyone help me out with this? Its a 96 explorer Eb edition 4.0 auto trans. Its stuck in park and the key cylinder won't turn. I can start it with the ignition switch itself but it still won't move out of park. I was thinking maybe the shift linkage or the brake switch, not sure if the...- Rambopants
