Possible heating issue? 2013 XLT
With the lower engine rpm's there will be lower coolant flow rate in the heater core with an engine-driven water pump. Combined with the heater fan being on the same setting, the air temperature from the heater system will be less, as there is less heat available due to the lower coolant flow rate.- skarz

Rear Overhead Vents not working on full heat!!!!
The system does this for functionality. If you want the best heating system, you want the airflow to come out of the lower floor outlets anyway, not the overhead registers. Similarly, for effective a/c performance you would want the air to come out the overhead registers and not the floor...- skarz

What to Expect from Ford
The little turbo 4 will work much harder at the higher vehicle speeds than the V6. When on the boost you will suffer mpg. That is both the tradeoff and beauty of a turbo. You get good mileage under light load (no/low boost) and you get the power when you need it. The assumption is flawed....- skarz

New 2015 Explorer Owner
Just upgraded from an Edge Sport to the Explorer, as I needed a little bigger vehicle with AWD and towing ability. I leased a 2015 XLT AWD with the appearance package. Magnetic Grey in color. So far I like it.- skarz
