Looking to buy a explorer, question for owners!
Just to add my 2 cents....Got my Explorer about a month ago (2015 Sport). Came from a Jeep Grand Cherokee (2011) as wife and I needed a larger vehicle for our 3 month old twins. No one told us kids travel with so much gear. Explorer is loaded for a safari every time we venture out. Jeep had to...- mdkstate

Coolbulbs.com HID Kit Review - Explorer Sport
:Installation Update: Installed in my 2013 Honda Accord the H11 (6000K 35W) Bulbs I originally purchased for my Explorer Fog Lamps. As it turns out, when I opted to not install the HID Fogs, the H11's were an exact fit for my Accord's Low Beams. Install was a pain as the Honda made the...- mdkstate

Coolbulbs.com HID Kit Review - Explorer Sport
Very easy to remove. The stock bulb is in there fairly tight so I had to put a little muscle into it. But it only has to turn 1/4 around and it lets go. The only plug that I had to remove was the harness going into the backs of the bulb from the truck. That hook up is on the "inside" of the...- mdkstate

Coolbulbs.com HID Kit Review - Explorer Sport
Installed the 6000K HID Headlights yesterday evening. Totally plug and play and super easy. Passenger side harness from the car to the Collbulbs Ballast had to be flipped around (as it did not fire up at all). That was the only hiccup. Works perfectly now. Installed in my garage. I used...- mdkstate

Coolbulbs.com HID Kit Review - Explorer Sport
Awesome. Thanks for the advice. Out of curiosity, where did you end up mounting the ballast for the fogs? There does not seem to be a consensus on here regarding that. I reached my hand back there and suitable spaces seemed few.- mdkstate

Coolbulbs.com HID Kit Review - Explorer Sport
Doing the exact same thing to my 2015 Sport. Ordered the set-up from Andrew @ CoolBulbs on Thursday last week (4/16). 6000K Headlights and Fogs. Based on my research on this forum, the Headlights are not too bad of an install (drivers side is a bit tricky to access). The fogs are a bit more...- mdkstate

Full-Black Ford Emblems on our Explorer!
I left the black plastic base attached to the car. Heated the blue oval with a hair drier and then used needle nose to start peeling in a rolling fashion. Just got to be careful not to slip and scratch the paint. The blue tin came off in a couple sections. Basically tore apart. Once tin was...- mdkstate

Full-Black Ford Emblems on our Explorer!
Did it this evening. Looks great. Front was pretty straight forward. Take off tin nuts and pry. Hard. It will just pop off. Rear took some effort to peel off blue tin. But it came off in sections with the help of the wife's hair drier. I paid $59 for the front and rear (each). Got off eBay from...- mdkstate
